My favorite movie of all time is The Inn of the Sixth Happiness, which is loosely based on the life of Gladys Aylward (I didn't realize how loosely until I read this book). The movie version of her was always an inspiration to me and I think it did capture her spirit and dedication to the calling she felt to serve the people of China. Many of the most harrowing adventures in her real life were not covered in the movie and some of the ones in the movie were a twist on her actual life.Still, it was nice to read this very basic explanation of all that she did and her great service to others.
